Welcome!
Since we come from the BowTied community and many of you are also interested in crypto, we thought it would be reasonable to dedicate some posts on building Web3 apps - all without code.
Yes, this is possible. How? Well, through one or more plugins available in the Bubble plugin store.
This post will serve as an intro/primer into what you can build. We’ll have follow up paid posts detailing specific use-cases, integrations and builds.
So, what can you build?
Uniswap/Sushiswap Clone
You can build your no-code application to interact with smart contracts (read/write functionality). This means that you can build a simple DEX clone. Wild, right?
Here is an example of a DEX demo built: ezUniswap.
Simply put, a User connects their wallet, the application reads the User’s balances, and then interacts with smart contracts (pancakeswap’s router).
Of course, you’ll never be able to compete with a true Web3 DEX, but this is something you can build into your Web3 no-code app as an added convenient feature for your users. Building a Web3 application where users need to use a certain ERC20 to purchase something? You can build in your small mini-dex router instead of telling users to go outside of your application to a DEX.
Token-Gated Event App
Build the next Eventbrite, only with NFTs. Allow companies and organizations to create token-gated events where attendees have to hold specific NFT(s) to register and attend the event.
How does this work in practice?
Users simply need to connect their wallet to your application (website). Afterwards, they would download your no-code mobile app (post about building mobile apps HERE) and scan a QR code to connect their device and the mobile wallet. When registering for events, the application would perform an API request to check and see if the User holds a specific NFT.
At the event itself, the event organizer could scan the Users mobile application with a QR code to verify that they still hold the NFT.
Sound like something you’ve heard of? Well, we just described a no-code application built on Bubble that raised $5 million in a seed round.
Let’s reiterate. An app for token-gated NFT events was built completely on Bubble and has just recently raise $5 million in seed funding.

Now of course, you shouldn’t try to straight up replicate TokenProof. But you can certainly create something similar with your own unique spin.
NFT Marketplace
Yep, you can build full-on NFT marketplaces using no-code and Bubble.
Incorporate lazy minting, royalties, and more. All possible through the use of Rarible’s SDK.
Here’s an example of an NFT marketplace built with Bubble: One2all.
We’re not sure if they are still around, but as you can see, certainly possible to build your own niche marketplace.
Analytics/Notifications
With crypto being open 24/7, it’s almost a full-time job tracking wallets and smart money.
You can most certainly build an application that receives webhooks from infra companies such as Alchemy to listen to events.
How do you build a business out of this?
Well, allow you users to create accounts and pay for a subscription.
Next, users simply add wallets they want to *track* and receive notifications for activity. You would simply use Alchemy’s API to add a webhook event. Alchemy will then start sending you webhooks any time a respective address has performed an activity on the blockchain.
Here’s an example of Arbitrum webhooks by Alchemy: Arbitrum webhooks
Additionally, now that you have the Alchemy account, you can also pull-in data to display in graphs, charts, and more for your users. Yes, you can build a nansen.ai replica.
NFT Backend/Infrastructure
Instead of creating an NFT marketplace, what about infrastructure for companies/organizations that want to dip their feet in NFTs?
Build a platform that allows companies & organizations to onboard their employees/members and mint NFTs to respective members for completing tasks, good deeds, and more.
The possibilities are endless here, really. Pick a small niche where you could see the use of NFTs welcomed.
Here is an example of a company providing the infrastructure for gamification: Award Pool. Award Pool claims to have over 250K users and 750K NFTs minted.
Here is an example of a NFT fundraising application for charities & non profits: SproutUp.
Moving Forward
As you can see, it’s entirely possible to build real Web3 businesses with Bubble and no-code.
It’s great to see no-code businesses like TokenProof raise seed rounds.
What it means is that investors do not care about your tech stack. They care about product market fit and the value you bring to your market.
If you are generally interested in Web3 and building some kind of application, do a little bit of research and plot out a business model.
In our next few paid posts, we’ll be covering some examples of Web3 integrations. We hope to see you there.
